Kristy Sawyers joined the Hay Design team after graduating from the Bachelor of Applied Arts - Interior Design Bridging program at Algonquin College in 2014, having also earned a Diploma in Interior Design from Georgian College and a Certificate of Sustainable Design at Algonquin.

Since joining the team, Kristy has worked on a variety of commercial, residential and retail projects, gaining valuable experience in many different facets of the business. Projects she’s already worked on include OC Transpo’s new office space, two major home renovations, office space at Carleton University and more.

With her educational background, Kristy is passionate about sustainable design and is a future leader in changing the way buildings and spaces are designed, to help reduce our impact on the planet and create a place for future generations to enjoy.

When she’s not roaming the dog park with Lexi (her Husky/Shepherd mix), Kristy is enthusiastic about community work including Habitat for Humanity Global Village, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Ottawa, volunteering at Shepherd of Good Hope, Ronald McDonald SkiFest and more.

Kristy is currently working towards both her ARIDO certification and becoming a LEED Green Associate.
