Kaitlyn Hay interned at Hay Design while attending Algonquin College from 2009-2013 in the Bachelor of Applied Arts program – Interior Design. After graduating with honors, Kaitlyn joined the team full-time and hasn’t looked back.

Kaitlyn’s experience has involved many aspects of the design process and has continued to build on her skills in several areas of the business, in design concepts, cost estimates, site verification, working and as-built drawings, and construction administration.

Kaitlyn has worked on many residential and restaurant projects, but she’s most passionate about designing office spaces. She thrives on enhancing the functionality of a client’s space so that it encourages creativity and collaboration among the people who work in it. Above all, she’s driven to create spaces that people love to work in.

Kaitlyn also keeps herself busy outside of the office; whether it’s on a soccer field, ice rink, baseball diamond, ski hill or volleyball court. She’s also very active in the community through Habitat for Humanity Global Village, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa, the Ronald McDonald House, Operation Come Home, CHEO and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Kaitlyn is currently an ARIDO intern and is a LEED Green Associate.
